Gaxos: Jigsaw Puzzle AI

Jigsaw AI offers an endless array of bright and enjoyable pictures to assemble from jigsaw pieces. But what makes it a truly limitless experience is the ability to use AI to create your own custom puzzles from anything you can imagine!

As the project lead for Gaxos: Jigsaw Puzzle AI following the completion of Gaxos: Space Striker AI, I oversaw its development from inception to release on Android and iOS platforms. My responsibilities included implementing NFT Minting, harnessing Stability AI for AI generation, integrating the UI designed by our conceptual artists’ team, and programming the gameplay and user experience across menus.

Gaxos: Space Striker AI

Space Striker AI is a mobile game that combines classic arcade action with the power of artificial intelligence. Players can customize their spaceships, battle aliens, unlock upgrades, and turn their creations into transferable valuables by minting them into NFTs.

As my first project in Gaxos.ai, I worked as a programmer in a team of three, alongside a team leader, I played a pivotal role in the development of Space Striker AI from its inception. My responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks, including bug fixes, feature implementation, and shaping the gameplay experience.

Earth’s will

Earth’s will is a 3D platformer adventure game based on Crash Bandicoot and Spyro game style.
The game was made in Unity by my friend Maximiliano Garcia (who also worked with me in Mr. Match game) and me, for a Level Design test.
It is a linear game in which you have to collect coins, jump platforms to cross the level and save the village from mutant enemies.

Kirby (fan game)

I did the Kirby fan game a while ago for a programming test.

The game consists of a tutorial, three levels and 4 enemies including the Boss.

Kirby can jump up to 5 times and because he transforms into Kirby Ninja, he has the melee attack and the ranged attack.

There is not much to say about the game but since I love Kirby and am happy with the result considering the experience I had at the time, I wanted to add it to my portfolio.

This is a Fan Game, I do not intend to make any profit by selling this game in any manner.
All trademarked characters belong to their respective owners.

Tales of Arrows

Tales of Arrows is a 3D Side Scrolling Platform game made for an Unreal Engine exam from my career.
This is my first game in Unreal Engine 4 and it’s mostly coded in C++ using blueprints for animation state machine and UI.

The exam conditions were:

  • Main Menu.
  • 5 playable levels plus a tutorial level.
  • 2 Power ups.
  • 2 Debuffs.
  • At least 3 enemies/obstacles.
  • Final Boss.

PokeTCG Scan

PokeTCG Scan is an Android AR fan game where the cards show their Pokémon and you have to beat ’em by pressing between three random attacks under time pressure. Pokemon attack too so be quick to protect yourself from their movements or they will flee from battle.

The game was made for the final exam of “Engine Application 2”. The conditions were:
– Any genre.
– 2D or 3D.
– Both programming and Game Design should be worked. If the exam does not have one of both, it will not be passed.
– The video game can be developed for PC or mobile.
– The game should be optimized (Lightmaps, Static Objects, clean code, etc.).
– If using Augmented Reality, implement Vuforia SDK.
– If using Virtual Reality, implement GoogleVR SDK (for mobile), Oculus Rift or HTC Vive (for PC).

The card gives the Pokémon stats, such as:
– Type.
– Life.
– One attack.
– Resistance and Weakness.

There is currently a card in the game (Bellsprout from Pokémon Jungle expansion). However, the code is clean to add cards and Pokémon model without changing the backend code.

The apk can be downloaded here. Try it 😀

Pokémon is owned by The Pokémon Company, I do not claim ownership of Pokémon in any form. PokeTCG Scan is not endorsed by The Pokémon Company.

Mr. Match

Game done in 48 hours for the Escuela Da Vinci Game Jam 2019 where the Key-word was: Conexión (Connection).
The team was integrated by Marcelo Gilardoni (Game Designer), Carla Gilardoni and Maximiliano Garcia (2D Artists), and me (Programmer).
It’s a pixel art side view game where you are an old fat bizarre cupid who shoots ‘love bullets’ at the pedestrians (people and animals) to make couples (or threesomes if you have aim), and earn points.
The game counts with 10 different pedestrians with its own spawn sounds and both basic pedestrians (male and female) have random clothes and hair color.
